MassDOT: Overnight and Daytime Construction on I-90

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be performing overnight and daytime paving, bridge repair, and bridge painting operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound in the towns of Stockbridge, West Stockbridge, Becket, Montgomery, and Russell. 
 
All work is weather dependent and will take place at the following locations and times:
 

Stockbridge:

  • Paving operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 5.0 to mile marker 7.8 on Monday night, July 28, and Tuesday night, July 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 westbound at mile marker 6.4 nightly from Tuesday night, July 29, through Thursday night, July 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Stockbridge/West Stockbridge:

  • Paving operations will be conducted on I-90 westbound from mile marker 7.8 in Stockbridge to mile marker 3.0 in West Stockbridge nightly from Monday night, July 28, through Thursday night, July 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

West Stockbridge:

  • The I-90 westbound exit 3 off-ramp at mile marker 3.0 will be closed for paving operations on Thursday night, July 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning. A detour will be in place directing vehicles.

Becket:

  • Bridge painting will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 18.4 nightly from Sunday night, July 27, through Thursday night, July 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Montgomery/Russell:

  • Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 westbound from mile marker 36.5 to mile marker 35.9 on Wednesday, July 30, and Thursday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
