MILFORD, Mass. – Robert Baer went 2-for-3 with four RBIs Sunday to lead the Sheffield Post 340 Seniors to a 13-3 win over Pittsfield Post 68-2 in the Massachusetts American Legion Tournament.

 

Christian Blanchard, Jack Bissaillon, Ben Kelly and Brady Carpenter each had a pair of hits in a 14-hit attack for Sheffield, which ended the game after five innings.

 

Bissaillon earned the win on the mound with a complete-game effort, striking out seven and walking three.

 

Post 68-2 used three different pitchers, who combined to allow eight earned runs.

 

Connor Kirchner led Pittsfield’s offense with an RBI triple. Aidan Underdown, Colby Robb and Scott Hoffman each had a hit in the loss.

 

Sheffield moves on in the tournament’s elimination bracket to play the loser of Sunday night’s game between East Springfield and Milford.
