Nancy Ann Hauser

Nancy Ann Hauser, 60, of 260 Pittsfield Road, Lennox Heights, died Saturday at home after a long illness.

A former longtime resident of the town of Washington, she moved to Lenox in 2005.

Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 10, 1947, daughter of Francis R. Tremblay and the late Gloria Meiers Tremblay, she attended schools in Becket and was a 1965 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. She also graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1967 with an associate degree in dental hygiene.

Mrs. Hauser was employed by Drs. Alfred and Kennis Ferris as a dental hygienist for more than 30 years, retiring in 2003 because of poor health.

She was an active member and communicant of the former St. Matthew's Church in Becket and served on the board of directors of the Becket Athenaeum.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and collecting Boyd's Bears.

She and her husband, Donald H. Hauser, were married Dec. 15, 1968, at St. Matthew's.

Besides her husband and father, of Becket, she leaves a daughter, Greta E. Cullett of Peru; a son, Gregory F. Hauser of Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Keith A. Tremblay of Becket.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Nancy A. Hauser, who died peacefully at her home in Lenox on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Hinsdale by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to the Berkshire Humane Society.

Nancy also is lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Tremblay; her son-in-law, Bruce Cullett; her daughter-in-law, Meghan Makoid; and her grand-dog, Lexi. DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, is handling arrangements.
