Anna M. Cravish, 77, of Columbia Arms, 65 Columbus Ave., died Friday at the home of her son, Peter Cravish of 196 Newall St.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 3, 1930, daughter of Albert and Theresa Hooker Therrien, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Cravish was employed as a dietary aide at the former Hillcrest Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, where she volunteered in the food pantry.
She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and painting.
Her husband, Blaise "Charlie" Cravish, died March 31, 1995.
Besides her son, she leaves four sons, Robert A. Foley of Bow, N.H., Frank N. Foley, and Charles Cravish, all of Pittsfield, and Richard Cravish of the state of Nevada; two daughters, Theresa Foley of Pittsfield and Maryann Ellison of Las Vegas; a brother, Raymond Therrien of Pittsfield; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Cravish.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Anna M. Cravish, who died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on from 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's food pantry in care of the funeral home. She also leaves three daughters-in-law, Ann and Roberta Foley and Kim Cravish (Peter), and her friend and caregiver, Mary Meehan.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Robert Therrien, and two sisters, Marion Cravish and Florence Myers.
