Rita M. Forni, 93, of Middletown, Conn., died Sunday at Wadsworth Glen in Middletown.
Born in Pittsfield on July 2, 1914, daughter of John and Mary Tassinari Forni, she was a 1933 graduate of Pittsfield High School and trained at the former St. Luke's Hospital as an x-ray technician.
Miss Forni worked as an x-ray technician at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown from 1938 to 1957. From 1957 until her retirement in 1970, she worked for Dr. Willard E. Buckley in Middletown.
She was a member of St. John's Church in Middletown and of the Middletown Senior Center, where she participated in arts and crafts programs.
She was also a member of AARP and enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Miss Forni leaves two sisters, Alba Ryan and Laura Drummond, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Rita M. Forni, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, will be private. Interment will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Forni also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Blanch Kiger.
