Beverly Fares

Beverly Fares, 67, of 101 Mountain Drive died yesterday at home after a brief illness.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on June 26, 1940, daughter of John and Anne Javorsky, she graduated from schools there and received her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
Mrs. Fares worked for a time as a medical technologist and phlebotomist at Berkshire Medical Center, at 510 Medical Walk-In and for the Berkshire Medical Group. She also assisted her husband in operating the former Al's Variety on First Street. Throughout the years, she did in-home care for the elderly, including her father- and mother-in-law.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. While in Youngstown, she was a communicant of St. Cyril and Methodius Church.
She enjoyed sewing, skiing and playing the flute.
She and her husband, Richard A. Fares, were married April 27, 1968, in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Mark A. Fares of Youngstown and Bruce R. Fares of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Beverly A. Fares, 67, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, will be Friday at 8:15 a.m. from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. If friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church, to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to a charity of one's choosing, in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
