Dale "Tom" Roberts, 61, of 131 Stoddard Ave. died Sunday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had spent the past two days.
Born in Pittsfield on March 30, 1946, son of Charles and Lillian Arthur Roberts, he was a 1964 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A chef, Mr. Roberts was employed by various restaurants, including the former Springs Restaurant in New Ashford, the Black Swan Inn in Lee and the Country Club of Pittsfield.
His wife, the former Linda M. Rheaume, whom he married March 31, 1967, died June 12.
He leaves a son, Thomas A. Roberts of Pittsfield; two brothers, John W. Roberts of Pittsfield and Charles R. Roberts Jr. of Albany, N.Y.; and a sister, Beverly A. Creamer of Shelby, N.C.
He was predeceased by a son, Jason A. Roberts, on Nov. 7, 2000.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Dale "Tom" Roberts, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, will be celebrated tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Pittsfield Cemetery's Martin Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church.
Calling hours will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at DWYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire County division of the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
