Arthur J. LaRouche Jr.

Arthur J. LaRouche Jr., 61, of 19 Pond St. died Friay at home after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 8, 1946, son of Shirley Barney LaRouche and the late Arthur J. LaRouche Sr., he attended local schools.

Mr. LaRouche was employed by Goodwill Industries and the former Hilton Hotel in the maintenance department, retiring in 1988.

He attended St. Joseph's Church and was a former altar boy at the former Notre Dame Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was a fan of the New England Patriots and the New York Yankees.

Besides his mother, of Pittsfield, he leaves a daughter, Michelle Jones; two grandchildren; and his companion of 22 years, Rosemary Chapman, with whom he resided.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Arthur J. LaRouche, who died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, will be Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arthur, who was born Aug. 9, 1946, enjoyed family picnics and gatherings and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Champlain, where he spent many summers in the company of very dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
