Mary S. Tonoli, 94, of BerkshireTown Apartments, died Sunday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility.
Born in Sondrino, Italy, on Aug. 30, 1912, daughter of Columbo and Marie Alberado Sondrini, she attended Cheshire schools.
Mrs. Tonoli was employed as a housekeeper by the former St. Luke's Hospital and, later, Berkshire Medical Center. She retired in 1977.
She enjoyed cooking and bingo.
Her husband, Angelo Tonoli, whom she married Aug. 3, 1929, died in 1958.
Mrs. Tonoli leaves five daughters, Gloria Mazza, Sylvia Tonoli, Norma Troiano, Bruna Tinney and Angela Roraback, all of Pittsfield; two sisters, Edith DiOrio and Lena Rosier, both of Pittsfield; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great- grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mary S. Tonoli, who died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, were private. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, and there were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Tonoli may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
Mrs. Tonoli also leaves her sons-in-law, John Mazza, Joe Troiano, Don Tinney and Richard Roraback; her 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grand-children; and nine great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
