Mildred Charron

Mildred Charron, 94, of 6 Main St., a former longtime resident of Walker Street, died yesterday at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, where she had been a patient since April.

Born in Northampton on March 22, 1913, daughter of Roy A. and Edith Walker Wetherbee, she attended schools in Troy, N.Y., and in Pittsfield, graduating in 1932 from Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Charron, a homemaker, had resided in Lenox since 1951. She was a member of Trinity Church and was active for many years in its Craft and Sanctuary Guilds. She was also a member of the Peace Party Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.

She and her husband, Ernest J. Charron, were married July 20, 1946 at South Congregational Church in Pittsfield. Mr. Charron died Jan. 31, 1993.

Mrs. Charron leaves one son, the Rev. Dr. Richard R. Charron of Hartford, Conn.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mildred W. Charron, who died August 6, 2007, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Church in Lenox, where Archdeacon Dr. Ian Grant, assistant priest at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in London, Ontario and visiting priest at Trinity Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Trinity Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Charron's memory may be made to Daughters of the American Revolution Peace Party Chapter or Trinity Church, both in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.

She also leaves a loving son-in-law, Peter T. Vreeland of Hartford, Conn. Her sister, Helen Galletly, who died Dec. 16, 2004.
