Anna L. Statkun Lawson, 95

RICHMOND, Mass. — Anna L. Statkun Lawson, 95, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at Mount St. Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was the mother of Cynthia L. Morrison of Richmond.

Born in Elizabeth, N.J., on May 21, 1912, daughter of William and Theodora Kaminsky Drewnowski, she lived most of her life in Agawam.

Mrs. Lawson was a retired supervisor for Hampden Brass and Aluminum Co.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Springfield and a member of the Polish American Club of Agawam and the Polish Women's Alliance Group 422.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael A. Statkun, in 1965, and her husband, Fred Lawson, in 1996.

Besides her daughter and son-in-law, David Morrison, she leaves another daughter, Barbara A. Kapinos of South Hadley; two stepchildren, Arthur Lawson and his wife, Carol, of Agawam and Gail Curnow and her husband, Francis, of Feeding Hills; a sister, Helen Daubitz of Feeding Hills; a brother, William Drewnowski of Agawam; seven grandchildren, Virginia Kapinos, Karol Kapinos, Theodore Kapinos, Peter Kapinos, Jennifer Hoyle, Meaghan Rudolph and her husband Morgan, and Margaux Morrison; two stepgrandchildren, Tammy Vermes and Andrew Lawson, and three great-grandchildren, Lynn Legiadre, Courtney Kapinos and Karl Kapinos.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Sophie Rinaldi and Mary Krzykowski; five brothers, Joseph, Henry, Stanley, Bernard, and Walter Drewnowski; and a son-in-law, Karol Kapinos.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Lawson will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 334 Franklin St., Springfield.

Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.
