John F. Lenihan, 63, of 1053 Weslin Creek Drive, Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Monday at his home.
He was a former longtime Pittsfield resident and lived in Myrtle Beach for the past year and a half.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 13, 1944, son of Walter and Mary
O'Brien Lenihan, he was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
He and his wife owned and operated Lenco Services Inc., a commercial cleaning company.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving in Okinawa.
Mr. Lenihan was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
His wife, the former Judith A. Dill, whom he married Sept. 18, 1971, in St. Mary Church, died July 2, 2005.
He leaves two sons, Daniel R. Lenihan of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jon E. Lenihan of Conway, S.C.; one daughter, Donna M. Bravo of Conway, S.C.; a brother, Robert Lenihan of Pittsfield; and one granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for John E. Lenihan, who died Monday, July 23, 2007, will be Friday at 10 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Dwyer Funeral Home today 4 to 7 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital care of the funeral home in his memory. Mr. Lenihan was a loving grandfather to Courtney Bravo.
