Ellen C. Van De Bogart, 100, of 320 Pittsfield Road, died Friday at Providence Care Center of Lenox.
Born on Sept. 25, 1906, in North Canaan, Conn., daughter of Harvey and Caroline Hoag Drumm, she was the youngest of their six children. She attended school in Canaan.
She moved to Pittsfield in the late 1970s, and had lived at Providence Care Center for five years.
Mrs. Van De Bogart was a homemaker, who enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting and playing cards.
Her husband, Roy S. Van De Bogart, whom she married on Sept. 21, 1926, in Millerton, N.Y., died Jan. 26, 1977.
Mrs. Van de Bogart was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Van de Bogart of Millerton, N.Y., and her daughter, Charlotte Gardner of Pittsfield.
She leaves six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside funeral services for Ellen C. Van De Bogart, who died Friday, July 13, 2007, will be today, at 11 a.m., at Mountain View Cemetery, Canaan, Conn. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be sent to the Millerton Fire Dept., 24 Century Blvd., Millerton, NY 12546-0733, or to the Canaan Fire Company, Canaan, CT 06018.
Arrangements are under the care of Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home, 118 Main St., North Canaan, CT 06018. She leaves six grandchildren, Dave Van de Bogart; Paul, Mark, Bob and Jeffrey Gardner, and Karen Bolognia; five great-grandchildren, Lily Albert Gardner, Grace Albert Gardner, and Michael, Steven and Angela Bolognia.
She also leaves a daughter-in- law, Barbara "Bobsy" Van de Bogart of Millerton, and a son-in-law, Russell Gardner of Pittsfield.
