Ruth Elizabeth LeBeau, 87, formerly of Dalton, died Tuesday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided since August 2004.
Born in Rensselaer, N.Y., Nov. 2, 1919, daughter of Arthur J. and Mary Miller Fox, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She attended Green Mountain Junior College and Berkshire Business College and was a graduate of the Dale Carnegie course.
She served in the Women Air Corps from 1945 to 1947.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. LeBeau had been employed by General Electric Co. for 15 years, first in the manufacturing of capacitors, then as a steno-typist.
She was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed church work, reading and visiting.
Mrs. LeBeau is survived by a son, Gary A. LeBeau of Pittsfield, and a brother, Arthur J. Fox, Jr., of Dalton.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Ruth Elizabeth LeBeau, who died July 10, 2007, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ashuelot Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Scamman, pastor of United Methodist Church of Cheshire, officiating.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. LeBeau may be made to Dalton United Methodist Church Roof and Restoration Fund, 755 Main St., Dalton. The DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
