Eileen F. O'Boyle, 71, of 65 Bruce Drive, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on Feb. 7, 1936, daughter of William and Eileen Carey Gagan, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Pittsfield and attended Berkshire Business School.
Mrs. O'Boyle and her husband, Robert O'Boyle, owned Foxx Pools for the past 33 years.
She and her husband would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Sept. 1. They were married at St. Mary's Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Shaun and Kevin O'Boyle, both of Dalton; two daughters, Kellie O'Boyle of Sausalito, Calif., and Bridget Ives of Pittsfield; and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Eileen F. O'Boyle, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, will be Friday, July 6, at 8 a.m. at DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Street Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, July 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. Eileen touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her laughter, kindness and wisdom will forever guide us. She was a beloved grandmother to Emily, Meghan, Gabriel, Aisha and Ella; mother-in-law to Wendy and Steve; and aunt to JB, Julee and Carey.
She also leaves a nephew and two nieces. She enjoyed spending time with her family. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.
