Robert Patrick Quadrozzi

Robert Patrick Quadrozzi, 69, of 422 South Wayne St., Portland, Ind., a native of Pittsfield, died Thursday in an auto accident in Delaware County, Ind. He was returning from cancer treatment,

Born on Dec. 14, 1937, son of Costanzo and Concetta Suriati Quadrozzi, he was a 1955 graduate of Pittsfield High, where he played basketball and golf.

An Air Force veteran, he served four years, including a year in Canada.

He was executive director of Jay County Development Corp., and formerly worked for MAC Finance Co. in Hartford, Conn.

He attended Salamonia United Church of Christ and was a member of the Rotary and Optimists clubs, and Elks Lodge 768, all in Portland, and of the Portland Country Club.

He leaves a daughter, Angie Clayton of Indianapolis; a brother, William Quadrozzi of Pittsfield; two sisters, Helen Castonguay and Norma Coy, both of Pittsfield; his companion, Jane Jackson, with whom he resided; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert P. Quadrozzi, who died Thursday, May 31, 2007, will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Salamonia United Church of Christ by Pastor Bruce Phillips. Burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at BAIRD-FREEMAN FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to Jay County Cancer Society or Youth Service Bureau, both in care of the funeral home, 221 North Meridian, Portland, IN 47371. He also leaves a son-in-law, Vernon Clayton.
