Clementine "Tina" Barscz, 91, formerly of 379 East St., died yesterday at Laurel Lake Health Care Facility in Lee.
Born in Pittsfield on June 30, 1915, daughter of John and Francesca Fracchia Prina, she attended local schools.
During World War II, she worked at General Electric Co.
Mrs. Barscz was employed by the former England's department store at the cosmetics desk, where she sold Elizabeth Arden products. She retired in 1980 with 34 years of service.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a member of its Ladies' Guild, a volunteer at Berkshire Medical Center from 1980 to 1990 and a member of the Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Alfred A. Barscz, whom she married Nov. 28, 1940, at Mount Carmel Church, died Jan. 30, 1990.
She leaves a daughter, Regina Lankin of Lebanon Springs, N.Y., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Clementine "Tina" Barscz died Saturday, April 21, 2007. She was the loving grandmother to Kate and mother-in-law to Michael, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 24, at 9 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Church in care of the funeral home in her memory.
Mrs. Barscz was predeceased by six sisters, Julia Magnone, Louise Andreolt, Mary Amerio, Josephine Traversa, Harriet Biasin and Lena Hansen, and by a brother, Alfred Prina.
