Kellie Ann McLaughlin

Kellie Ann McLaughlin, 32, of 49 Lucia Drive, died Sunday at home.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., on Oct. 22, 1974, daughter of Thomas L. and Marilyn Gilligan McLaughlin, a longtime Pittsfield resident, she was educated in local schools and was a 1997 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

She was employed by Jiminy Peak Resort in Hancock in the housekeeping department from 1997 to 2003.

A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she was also a member of the Berkshire County Association for Retarded Citizens.

She enjoyed attending the BCARC Social Development Program in Dalton, music, collecting bookmarks, movies and swimming. She also enjoyed going to the beach and following the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.

Besides her parents, of Pittsfield, she leaves four brothers, Michael T. McLaughlin of Rochester, N.Y., John W. McLaughlin of Albany, N.Y., Thomas P. McLaughlin of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Patrick J. McLaughlin of Pittsfield; three sisters; Maureen A. Powers of Indian Trail, N.C., Kathleen M. and Mary P. McLaughlin, both of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE --The funeral for Kellie Ann McLaughlin, who died Sunday, April 15, 2007, will be held Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral. Kellie who was loved by everyone also leaves her eleven nieces, with whom she enjoyed spending time, Jayme, Nicole, Bryanna, Alyse, Alexa, Lauren, Courtney and Jayden McLaughlin, Amanda and Ashley Havener and Lyndsay Powers. She also leaves her three nephews, with whom she also enjoyed spending time, Matthew, Kristopher and Patrick McLaughlin; four sisters-in-law, Cheryl, Pam, Valarie and Carol McLaughlin; and a brother-in-law, David Powers.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved "Harlye." Memorial donations in memory of Kellie may be made to BCARC or to the Ad-Lib Center for Independent Living, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
