Leslie Smith Conant, 49, of Dallas, sister of Alexandra Huber of Lenox, died Sunday at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Born in Hartford, Conn., on Oct. 31, 1957, daughter of William Smith and the late Ruth Albers Smith, she was raised in Olympia Fields, Ill., and graduated from Rich Central High School.
She received a bachelor's degree in business from Western Illinois University.
Mrs. Conant was regional administrative director for AIG for 21 years.
She was a volunteer for Junior Achievement, and a lifelong supporter of Roger and Landmark Retrievers.
She leaves her husband, Roger Conant of Dallas, whom she married on Jan. 20, 1990.
In addition to her husband and sister, she also leaves her father, of San Diego.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Leslie Smith Conant, who died Sunday, March 18, 2007, will be held tomorrow in Keever Chapel, J. E. KEEVER MORTUARY INC., 408 N. Dallas St., Ennis, Texas 75119. Calling hours are tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may go to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Ellis County, Texas.
Mrs. Conant also leaves her mother-in-law, Kathryn Conant of Ennis; a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Wells of St. Louis; and a niece and nephew, Anna and David Wells, both of St. Louis. She was also predeceased by a brother, Brock Smith.
