Dolores C. Renaud, 80, of 2 Cicero Drive, Lakeville, formerly of Clairmont Road in Dalton, died Thursday at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
She moved to Lakeville two years ago.
Born in Schenectady, N.Y., on Dec. 12, 1926, daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Reilly Cavanaugh, she was a graduate of St. Columba High School in New York and received her bachelor's from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., and her teaching certificate from the University of Connecticut.
Mrs. Renaud was employed by General Electric Co. from 1948 to 1960. She also worked for several years as a teacher and taught night typing classes at Pittsfield High School. She was also a substitute teacher for Dalton and Pittsfield schools.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church for 43 years and volunteered at St. Agnes' School.
She leaves two sons, Mark L. Renaud of Haverhill and Paul R. Renaud of Lakeville; two brothers, Lawrence Cavanaugh of Dalton and Daniel Cavanaugh of Phoenix Elle, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Dolores C. Renaud, who died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes' Church celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes' School Education Fund, in care of the funeral home, 890 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
Dolores will be lovingly missed by her two granddaughters, Meaghan and Olivia.
