Margaret E. Braman, 87, of Framingham, formerly of Dalton, died Feb. 14 at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham.
She moved to Framingham five years ago.
Born in New York City on April 10, 1919, daughter of Walter and Johanna Istlehorst Barber, she was raised in Hartford, Conn. She also lived in St. Simon's Island, Ga., at one time.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Braman was a longtime member of United Church of Christ in Dalton and in Windsor, Conn.
She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting and cooking.
She and her husband, William Braman, were married 45 years before his death in 1982.
She leaves two sons, Howard Braman of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Walter Braman of Fredericksburg, Va.; two daughters, Anne Rivers of Ashland and Katherine Braman of Newton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Braman, who died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also leaves two daughters-in-law, Rosemarie and Catherine; a son-in-law, Robert; seven grandchildren, Winston, Frank and Benjamin Bramam, Amie O'Donoghue, Sara McCowan, and William and Susan Rivers; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Natalie and Diana Aharonian.
She was predeceased by her brother, Hans Barber, and a grandson, Matthew Braman. A private memorial service will be held in the chapel of MATARESE FUNERAL HOME in Ashland. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place in New London, Conn., at the convenience of the family.
