In the 1930s, he took part in the now-famous St. Joseph's-PHS football game, having scored a touchdown in a 6-0 PHS victory that was voided because of an ineligible player. The victory was re-entered into the record book many years later when it was determined that the player was not ineligible.

Mr. Majchrowski was employed as a welder for 36 years by General Electric Co. in the power transformer division. He retired in 1979. Before that, he worked at the former Wyandotte Worsted Mill in Pittsfield.
He was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs, the GEAA and the Pittsfield Sportsman's Club.
He was a golfer, a hunter, a fisherman and a hiker. He was a past recipient of the Bill Lennon Award, given to an individual by the Nessacus Middle School Outdoor Club for dedication and devotion to the outdoors and to the club. He was a former coach in the Dalton Little League and Babe Ruth League and was a longtime Boston sports fan.
He and his wife, the former Virginia Duda, were married June 8, 1946, at Holy Family Church in Pittsfield. She died July 17, 1979.
He leaves two sons, Thomas F. Majchrowski of Redwood, Ore., and Francis W. Majchrowski of Dalton; three brothers, John Majchrowski, Joseph Majchrowski and Edward Majchrowski, all of Pittsfield; and four grandchildren.
