Donald F. Lyman

Donald F. Lyman, 74, of 993 South St. died yesterday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where he had resided for four months.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 25, 1932, son of William H. and Bessie Bonney Lyman, he attended the former Dalton High School.
He served in the Army from 1955 to 1957.
Mr. Lyman was employed by General Electric Co. in the ordnance manufacturing division. After his retirement, he worked as a chauffeur for Abbott Limousine Service.
He was a member of First Congregational Church.
He leaves two daughters, Donna L. Burns of Ashland and Cheryl A. Fallon of West Dennis; a sister, Marguerite Bailey of Dalton; and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Donald F. Lyman, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Robert Kyte, pastor of First Congregational Church.
Burial will be in Main Street Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Among survivors are his grandchildren Alison, Sarah and Matthew Burns, and Jacob Fallon; his son-in-law, Donald; and brother-in-law, Gordon. Donations in his memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
