Pauline A. Beauchemin, 84, of 48 Edgemere Road died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 1, 1922, daughter of Henry J. and Mary C. Cunningham Hart, she was a 1940 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Beauchemin was employed by General Electric Co. as an executive secretary. She retired in 1984 after 42 years of service.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a member of the General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs.
She enjoyed swimming at the Dalton Community House, taking trips with the Pittsfield Senior Center, gardening, ceramics, cooking and decorating her home.
She leaves her husband, Robert E. Beauchemin, whom she married May 5, 1945, in the former Notre Dame Church.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Pauline "Polly" A. Beauchemin, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Beauchemin may be made to St. Agnes Church in care of the funeral home, 890 East Main St., Dalton.
Mrs. Beauchemin was predeceased by her brother, Henry Hart, and her two sisters, Margaret Pruyne and Mary Estey. She leaves her brothers-in-law, her sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
