Barbara A. Fahey, 76, of 74 Flansburg Ave. died Saturday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on May 17, 1930, daughter of Walter B. and Vera Mongue Fox, she was a 1948 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
Mrs. Foley was employed at one time as secretary to the principal of Dalton High.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and enjoyed making crafts for the church.
She and her husband, Edward L. Fahey, were married Nov. 17, 1952. He died Aug. 30, 1998.
She leaves a son, Michael Fahey of Dalton; three daughters, Maryann Jones of Hinsdale, N.H., Maureen Fahey of Dalton and Kathryn Fahey of Great Barrington; two sisters, Eunice Hurley and Joan Fox, both of Dalton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Barbara, who died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first. She will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, Sean and Chelsea Fahey, Amy and Nicholas Veinoglou, William and Rebecca Jones, and Abigail Lucy, and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Davis Glodgett. She was predeceased by a brother, Walter Fox.
The funeral will be private, at the request of Mrs. Fahey, and there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshire, in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
