Catherine C. Taylor, 64, of 253 High St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Hartford, Conn., on April 14, 1942, daughter of Thomas H. and Catherine Gaul Taylor, she was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School in Bristol, Conn., and of St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. She also received her master's in nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y.
A registered nurse, Miss Taylor taught nursing at Berkshire Community College, retiring in 2002. She also taught at the former Bishop Memorial School of Nursing's Vocational School of Practical Nursing.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and enjoyed tutoring prospective nurses until her death.
She leaves two brothers, Thomas J. Taylor of Terryville, Conn., and William J. Taylor of Wilbraham.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Catherine will be missed by her two loving nieces, Sara Taylor and Cassandra DeSorcy; three nephews, David, Thomas and Bruce Taylor; her special friends, Linda Fields, Mary Kay Kasuba, Christine Martin and Jennifer Wilczak; special neighbors, Maureen, Jim and Karen; and her faithful companion, Happy.
The funeral for Catherine C. Taylor, who died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, will be conducted Wednesday at 9:15 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes' Church.
Burial will take place Friday at Hillside Cemetery in Terryville, Conn. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catherine C. Taylor LPN Mobility Scholarship, in care of BCC Foundation, 1350 West St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
