Veronica Clair White

Veronica Clair White, 68, of 81 Hawthorne St. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Somerset on Nov. 11, 1937, daughter of Manuel and Lena Costa Ferreira, she attended Somerset High School.
She was a resident of Lenox for more than 40 years.
Mrs. White was employed as a teller at Lenox National Bank's branch office in New Lenox for 10 years, retiring in 1999. Before that, she was a clerk at the former Lenox Package Store for 10 years.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church and an active member of the Father Grace chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She also held a state position with the organization for several years.
She was a Red Sox fan and enjoyed bowling, reading and traveling.
She and her husband, Russell D. White, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 18. They were married in St. John of God Church in Somerset.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Michael D. White of Parkland, Fla., and Patrick T. White of Boston; a daughter, Kathleen A. White of Los Angeles; a sister, Delores Carr of Dighton; and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Veronica Clair White, who died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, will be Thursday at 9 from ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Ann's Church celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Ann's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Ann's Parish Family Center in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Victoria, Matthew and Halie White.
