Rose Angela Moore

Rose Angela Moore, 89, of 75 Briggs Ave. died Tuesday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided for three months.

Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 18, 1917, daughter of Francesco and Angela Iorio Pannesco, she attended local schools.

Mrs. Moore was employed as a prep cook by the former Timothy's Restaurant for 10 years. Previously, she worked at the former Berkshire Coat Factory.

She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed horse racing and cooking.

She was an accomplished seamstress.

Her husband, Harry J. Moore, whom she married in June 1935, died Sept. 15, 1967.

She leaves a son, Robert H. Moore of Pittsfield; a daughter, Gail A. Launt of Pittsfield; a sister, Phyllis Magnano of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Francis W. Moore and Gerald C. Moore.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Rose Angela Moore, who died Tuesday, Sept. 26, will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at 8:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles' Church in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

She leaves a son-in-law, John Launt; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Moore; seven grandchildren, Nadine Hiser, Robert Moore Jr., Brian Moore, John Launt Jr., Jill Allessio, and Glenn and Tracy Moore; and 11 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, Jeffrey and Shelby Hiser, Brittany, Crystal and Ryan Moore, Alex Allessio, Priscilla Jeri Lee, and Amanda, Angel and Anthony Moore.

She was predeceased by four sisters, Antoinette Reardon, Angela Buckley, Josephine Furlong and Concetta Pannesco, and by a brother, Peter Pannesco.
