Alyse Marie Rose, 86, of 20 Stockbridge Ave. died Saturday at home.
Born in Lenox Dale on June 21, 1920, daughter of James A. and Katherine Feeney Farrington, she was a 1936 graduate of Lenox High School.
From 1958 to 1985, Mrs. Rose was employed by Crane & Co. in the main office as a purchaser, as a retail customer representative and as a switchboard operator.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Lenox Dale.
She enjoyed doing yard work.
Her former husband, John W. Rose, died May 23, 1981.
She leaves a son, J. Kevin Rose of Henderson, Nev.; two daughters, Joanne R. Donald of Richmond and Karen M. Rose of Los Alamitos, Calif.; a brother, Joseph Farrington of Dalton; two sisters, Madeline Farrington of Pittsfield and Katherine Harold of Cambridge, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Alyse Marie Rose, who died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, will be Thursday, Sept. 21, at 9:15 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Agnes' Church celebrated by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Lenox. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Rose may be made to St. Agnes' Church in care of the funeral home, 890 East Main St., Dalton.
She was predeceased by a brother, James A. Farrington, and by two sisters, Rosalie Gibbs and Vera Taylor. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
