Pauline Greene, 79, formerly of Friedel Street, Worcester, died Tuesday at Craneville Place nursing facility.
Born in Ludlow on Jan. 14, 1927, daughter of Andrew and Catherine Duff Campsie, she attended Wilbraham schools, graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and received administrative assistant certification from Assumption College.
Mrs. Greene was employed by H & R Block and Mechanics Bank, retiring in 1989. Before moving to Worcester in 1948, she worked for Kenna Metal Inc. in Springfield.
She was a member of First Congregational Church in Worcester.
Her husband, William H. Greene, died in 2003.
She leaves two daughters, Linda Merry of Dalton and Leanne Greene of Dudley; a son, William C. Greene of North Grafton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Pauline Greene, who died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester.
Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613, or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, 369 South St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
