Phalice A. Jenks, 77, of 27 Franklin St. died Friday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 19, 1928, daughter of Clymer and Anna McCarty Dunbar, she was a 1946 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
An accountant, Mrs. Jenks was employed by Berkshire Veterinary Hospital for many years.
She leaves two daughters, Anne Jenks Micheli of Brookline and Diane Shields of North Adams; a sister, Judith Carter of Dalton, and two grandsons.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Phalice Jenks, who died Aug. 25, 2006, will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main St., Dalton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Phalice Jenks Fund for Needy Pets, c/o Berkshire Veterinary Hospital, 730 1/2 Crane Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Phalice will be lovingly missed by her two grandsons, John and Jeffrie Shields, her two nephews, Paul and Alan Carter; her brother-in-law, Charles Carter; her sons-in-law, Dr. Lyle J. Micheli and John Shields, and her longtime companion, George DiCicco.
