Gerald M. Shulan

Gerald M. Shulan, 85, of 1697 Starling Drive, Sarasota, Fla., and Lenox, died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsburgh, on May 29, 1921, son of Meyer and Esther Gratz Shulan, he lived in Worcester for 35 years before moving to Orlando, Fla., 25 years ago.
He maintained a summer residence in Lenox for the past 30 years.
Mr. Shulan was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was a prisoner of war in Germany.
He was a certified public accountant for many years, retiring in 1976.
He leaves his wife, the former Ruth Levy; two sons, Bruce Shulan of Warren, N.J., and Michael Shulan of Soho, N.Y.; two brothers, David and Fred Shulan, both of Orlando, Fla., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Gerald M. Shulan died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Holy Society Cemetery (Chevra Kadisha Cemetery) on Cemetery Road, Leicester, Mass.
Memorial observance will be held through Thursday afternoon, Aug. 3, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Shankman, 1 Newington Lane in Salisbury Hill, off Salisbury Street, Worcester, and 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at the Shulan family's summer residence at 50 Clifden Court, No. 13, in Lenox.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. PERLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 1026 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603 is directing funeral arrangements.
Mr. Shulan leaves his wife, the former Ruth Levy; two sons, Bruce Shulan and his wife Gale, of Warren, N.J., and Michael Shulan and his wife Moira, of Soho, N.Y.; two brothers, David and Fred Shulan, both of Orlando, Fla., and four grandchildren.
