Marilyn A. Buckley, 73, of 399 High St. died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since June.
Born in Boston on April 21, 1933, daughter of Joseph and Mary Rochelo Turner, she was a 1951 graduate of the former Dalton High School and a 1953 graduate of Baypath Junior College in Longmeadow.
Mrs. Buckley was employed by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, retiring in 2000. Before that, she was employed by the Central Berkshire Regional School District and by General Electric Co. as a secretary.
She was a communicant of First Congregational Church and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge. She was also a fan of the Red Sox.
Her husband, Arnold J. Buckley, whom she married Aug. 10, 1957, died Jan. 3, 1959.
She leaves a son, Bruce Buckley of Dalton, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marilyn A. Buckley will be conducted Wednesday at 11 at First Congregational Church in Dalton by the Rev. Robert Kyte, pastor.
Burial will be in Main Street Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours will be tomorrow, July 25, from 4 to 7 at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME.
She also leaves three grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth and Patrick Buckley, all of Dalton; several sisters-in-law, including Lois Murray of Hinsdale, and many cousins, including Gale Pinna and Cathleen Hiser, both of Dalton. Her sister, Beatrice Therrien, and brother, Edward Turner, predeceased her.
