Timothy C. Horrocks Sr., 51, of 11 Park Terrace died Sunday at home.
Born in Troy, N.Y., on April 4, 1955, son of Charles and Dorothy Riwage Horrocks, he graduated from Shaker High School in Latham, N.Y., and earned an associate degree from George Washington University in Washington.
He served in the Marine Corps, 3rd Battalion, from 1972 to 1976. A certified rifle expert and expert machine gunner, he obtained the rank of corporal. In 1975, he served on the USS America as a guard for the admiral.
Mr. Horrocks was a self-employed handyman and a craftsman.
He enjoyed music and taking long rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He and his wife, the former Penny Wolff Bombard, would have celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary Aug. 10, 1985.
Besides his wife and parents, of Latham, he leaves a son, Timothy C. Horrocks Jr. of Watervliet, N.Y.; two stepsons, David F. Bombard Jr. of Lee and Eric M. Bombard of Harpersville, N.Y., and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Timothy C. Horrocks Sr., who died Sunday, June 18, 2006, will be conducted Thursday, June 22, at 2 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, by the Rev. Robert Kyte.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Locks of Love Foundation, 2925 10th Ave., Suite 102, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
He also leaves two daughters-in-law, Leslie Horrocks and Missy Bombard; four granddaughters and one on the way, and a grandson; a best friend, Fred Limburg; many motorcycle brothers, and his dogs, Angel and Tucker. His mother-in-law, Viola R. Spehar, predeceased him.
