Rocco Ronald Errichetto Sr.

Rocco Ronald Errichetto Sr., 64, of 31 Perrine Ave. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center after an 11-year battle with cancer.
Born in North Adams on March 6, 1942, son of the late William Errichetto Sr. and Philomena Cristino Errichetto, he moved to Pittsfield as a young child and attended St. Joseph's High School.
He worked in the construction business with various local firms, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he was employed by Billy's Trucking and Sacco's Trucking.
He enjoyed attending flea markets and fairs, carpentry, and landscaping.
He leaves his wife, the former Madeline B. Ott, whom he married on May 28, 1959, in Canaan, N.Y.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Rocco R. Errichetto Jr. of Windsor; two daughters, Deborah A. Phelps and Lori L. Cooke, both of Pittsfield; five brothers, Anthony Errichetto of Housatonic, Robert, Angelo and William Errichetto Jr., all of Pittsfield, and Arthur Errichetto of New Jersey; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Per his request, funeral services for Rocco R. Errichetto Sr., who died Saturday, June 17, 2006, will be private. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held for family at a later date.
He leaves five grandchildren, Carly A. Pringle, Rocco R. Errichetto III, Carrie A. Phelps, Steven M. Phelps Jr. and April L. Cooke; three great-grandchildren, Christian L. and Sophia M. Pringle and Nevaeh L. Williams; nephews Shane N. and Trevor L. Ott and many other nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Jody J. Hamling Errichetto, and a son-in-law, Steven M. Phelps Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life," in care of "Rock's Rockers," or to Zion Lutheran Church in care of FLYNN-DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jerry A. Errichetto. Rocco's passion in life was his family and many friends. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed ay all that knew him.
