Robert Harrison Needham, 75, of 620 Laurel St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on March 11, 1931, son of Raymond and Dorothy Sprague Needham, he attended Pittsfield High School.
Mr. Needham served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed by General Electric Co. for 39 years as a fire inspector.
He enjoyed bowling, baseball, softball, attending car shows and riding his Harley.
He leaves partner, Joann Bond, of Dalton; a sister, Judith Adserballe of Leesburg, Fla., and a brother, Arthur Needham of Windsor.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Mr. Robert H. Needham, who died Saturday, June 10, 2006, will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be at a later date in the Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
The family has requested no flowers asking that donations in his memory be made to a charity of the donor's choice, care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
He died surrounded by loved ones and family. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Dorothy; a brother-in-law, Knud, and three nieces, Nancy, Dawn and Amy Bond. Bob leaves many loved ones and friends who have demonstrated love, compassion, and support through the years.
