Margaret Rose Brazee, 56, of Hillcrest Commons, formerly of BerkshireTown Apartments, died Sunday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center of natural causes.
Born in Pittsfield on April 17, 1950, daughter of Edmond and Ida Mae LaFrance Brazee, she was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended Berkshire Community College.
Miss Brazee had been employed as a resident director at the YMCA for 11 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, she had been employed by the former Buttenheim Publishing Co.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.
She was president of the BerkshireTown Social Club, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting, baking, gardening and fishing.
Miss Brazee leaves four sisters, Kimberly Srodoski, Paula Wagner and Elizabeth Brazee, all of Pittsfield, and Mary Liverseidge of Springfield, and two brothers, Edmond Brazee and Kevin Brazee, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Margaret Rose Brazee, who died Sunday, June 4, 2006, will be Thursday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Lee Smith, chaplain at Berkshire Medical Center, officiating.
Following cremation, burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Miss Brazee may be made to the YMCA Kids Camp in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, 01201.
Miss Brazee also leaves 14 nieces and nephews, and nine grandnieces and grandnephews.
