Hazel M. Dellea, 83, of Cole Avenue died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in North Egremont on Jan. 6, 1923, she was the daughter of John and Mary Morandi Dellea.
From first grade through eighth grade, she attended the schoolhouse in North Egremont, and she graduated from the former Searles High School in Great Barrington in 1942.
Miss Dellea retired in 1991 from the former Home Gas Co. in Great Barrington. She had worked in the billing department for 43 years.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
She leaves two sisters, Madeline R. Dellea, with whom she made her home, and Margaret Camprini of Hudson, Fla.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for the late Hazel M. Dellea, who died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, will be private. There will be no calling hours. FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington is in charge of arrangements.
Hazel also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John Dellea and Fredric R. Dellea, along with her sister, Agnes Bastedo.
Throughout the years she prepared all of the meals for herself and her sister, and all of her desserts were made from scratch.
