Curtis Grant Hildebrand Jr.

Curtis Grant Hildebrand Jr., 92, formerly of 612 Portland Ave., Baldwin, N.Y., died Monday at Providence Care Center in Lenox, where he and his wife moved several years ago.

Born in York, Pa. on Jan. 4, 1914, son of Curtis Grant Hildebrand Sr. and Annie Goodling Hildebrand, he attended schools in York and Washington.

He moved to Baldwin in 1985.

Mr. Hildebrand was employed for many years in the motion picture business in Washington. He was involved in the distribution of films.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Variety Club in Washington.

He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He also played golf and enjoyed handy work.

He and his wife, the former Alice Swank of Lenox, were married Dec. 27, 1938, in Washington.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Judith H. Turbin of Williamstown; a son, Curtis Grant Hildebrand III of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral Services for Curtis G. Hildebrand Jr., who died Monday, April 24, 2006, are private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Washington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Care Center of Lenox in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME at 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves three grandchildren, Linden Re of Averill Park, N.Y., David Frazer of Raleigh, N.C., and Jonathan Turbin of Washington, and three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Re, Michael Re, and Duncan Frazer. Six brothers and sisters are deceased.
