Lucille Anita Grandshaw

Lucille Anita Grandshaw, 85, of 62 Demont Ave. died Sunday at home.

Born in Winooski, Vt., on Feb. 5, 1921, daughter of Joseph A. and Merelda Campbell Granger, she moved to Pittsfield as a child, and was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Grandshaw was a homemaker.

She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Guild.

She also gave generously of her time and talent in other areas of church work.

Her husband, Harold T. Grandshaw, whom she married Nov. 8, 1941, died Dec. 7, 1982.

She leaves two sons, H. Thomas Grandshaw and Eric J. Grandshaw, both of Pittsfield; two daughters, Carleen A. Grandshaw and Erin M. Hayes, both of Pittsfield; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Lucille A. Grandshaw, who died Easter Sunday morning, April 16, 2006, also leaves her daughter- and sons-in-law . She was predeceased by her brother, Hector Granger, in 1987.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Grandshaw will be celebrated Friday, April 21, at 10 at St. Charles' Church by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Grandshaw may be made to St. Charles' Church or to the Alzheimer's Association, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
