Viola S. Pepperman

Viola S. Pepperman, 80, of 44 Dexter St. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Adams on April 29, 1925, daughter of Anthony and Mary Orchel Stankiewicz, she moved to Pittsfield at the age of 6 months, attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1942.
Mrs. Pepperman was employed for 25 years by Pittsfield News Co., retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Howard R. Pepperman, who died March 20, 1967. They were married July 29, 1950.
She leaves three sons, Howard W. Pepperman of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Carl E. Pepperman of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Alan M. Pepperman of Groveland; two daughters, Carol J. Field of Windsor, Conn., and Julie M. Sawyer of Somers, Conn.; a brother, former Pittsfield Police Chief Stanley Stankiewicz of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Josephine Butler of Madison, Wis., and eight grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Viola S. (Stankiewicz) Pepperman, who died April 11, 2006, will take place Friday, April 14, 2006, at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Dr. Luis E. Benavides, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, April 14, 2006, from 9 a.m. to the time of the service. Survivors include eight grandchildren, Eric, Daniel, Sarah, Cara and Susan Pepperman, Rebecca and Terri Sawyer, and Isaac Field.
Viola was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Joseph and Charles Stankiewicz. Omission of flowers is requested.
She was a wonderful woman and a loving grandmother
to my two children,Eric and Cara.I miss her
