Anna May Chapman, 69, formerly of 65 Columbus Ave., Columbia Arms Apartments, died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since November 2005.
Born in Pittsfield on April 10, 1937, daughter of the late William and Anna Lee LeBarnes, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Chapman was a homemaker.
She was a New York Yankees fan, and she enjoyed crocheting.
She and her husband, David A. Chapman, were married in 1961. He died May 9, 2001.
She leaves a half-sister, Marilyn Cole of Augusta, Ga.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- At the request of Mrs. Anna May Chapman, who died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, there are no calling hours or funeral service. Following cremation, burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Memorials in her memory may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements.
She also leaves her sister-in-law and caregiver, Antonietta LeBarnes of Pittsfield.
