James P. "Jay" Norton, 36, of 92 Dalton Ave. died of natural causes Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 28, 1969, son of James K. and Barbara Dean Norton, he was a 1988 graduate of Taconic High School.
Mr. Norton was employed by local contractors as a carpenter and mason.
He was a member of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed cooking.
Besides his parents, of Pittsfield, he leaves a sister, Karen Norton of Pittsfield, and his maternal grandfather, Robert Dean Sr. of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Memorial services for James P. "Jay" Norton, who died Thursday, April 6, will be held Wednesday, April 12, at 10 at St. Charles' Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.
There will be no calling hours at DWYER FUNERAL HOME . Mr. Norton also leaves his nephew and godson, Zachary Norton.
He will be sadly missed by his Aunt and Godmother, Julie LeClair, his Aunt Cookie and Uncle Wayne, his Uncle Bobby and Aunt Terry, his Aunt Donna and his maternal grandfather, Robert Dean Sr.
He also leaves his cousins Paula and Leslie Ciepiela, Richard LeClair, Jennifer Norton and Tyler Dean. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Max.
