Maryjane Sarah Sherman

Maryjane Sarah Sherman, 85, of 54 Belair Ave. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Berwick, Maine, on Aug. 19, 1920, daughter of Adelarde and Delphine Potvin Tremblay, she attended schools in Lenox and Pittsfield.

Mrs. Sherman worked at General Electric Co. and at the former Montgomery Ward.

She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and enjoyed baking, reading, cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting and flower gardening.

Her husband, Raymond F. Sherman, whom she married Aug. 8, 1942, died April 21, 1994.

She leaves three daughters, Jean P. McCluskey, with whom she resided, Susan G. Curro, also of Pittsfield, and Kathleen D. Lizotte of Rochester, N.H.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Maryjane S. Sherman, who died on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2006, will be Wednesday, April 12, at noon from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. John Salatino, pastor of St. Mark's Church in Pittsfield, officiating.

Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

Mrs. Sherman is lovingly survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Williams, Karen Hathaway, and Eric and Lisa Curro; her great-grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Williams; three sons-in-law, Frank McCluskey, Henry Lizotte Jr. and Francis Curro Jr., and by many nieces and nephews.
