Edward A. Shook

Edward A. Shook, 75, of Martinsburg, Blair Co., Pa., formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday morning, at the Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg after a brief illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 17, 1930, son of Edward and Bonnie Sedgewick Shook, he was a graduate of Dalton High School.
He retired as an instrumentation supervisor at Appleton Papers Inc., Roaring Spring, Pa., in 1995 after 16 years. Previously, he was employed at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and prior to that at Crane & Company, Dalton.
Mr. Shook was affiliated with St. John's United Church of Christ in Martinsburg, and was a former member of Christ United Church of Christ, Roaring Spring. Formerly, he had served as a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America in Becket.
He and his wife, the former Joyce H. Bailey, were married on July 8, 1950. She died Oct. 6, 2000.
He leaves a daughter, Donna J. Zerkovich of Poquoson, Va.; five sons, Robert P. Shook of Saxton, Pa., T. Scott Shook of Bedford, Pa., the Rev. Stephen E. Shook of Alexandra, Va., David A. Shook of Lee and Edward E. Shook of Poquoson, Va.; a brother, Bernard Shook of Orange County, Calif., 16 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Edward A. Shook, who died Monday, April 3, 2006, will be held Wednesday, April 5, at 1 p.m. from JOHN C. BOLGER FUNERAL HOME INC., Martinsburg, Pa., with his son, the Rev. Stephen E. Shook, pastor, officiating.
Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at Spring Hope Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Mr. Shook was predeceased by a brother, David Shook.
