Caroline A. Bregg, 46, of 3 Morgan St., Norwood, N.Y., formerly of Pittsfield, died of cancer Friday afternoon at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, N.Y., where she had been a patient since March 21.
Born in Pittsfield on July 18, 1959, daughter of Harold L. and Dorothy Gallagher Lambert, she graduated from Pittsfield High School, Berkshire Community College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in education.
She obtained her nursing degree in 1996 from State University of New York, Canton, and her master's degree from State University of New York at Potsdam.
Mrs. Bregg was employed as a registered nurse by Canton-Potsdam Hospital for nine years. She enjoyed gardening and needlepoint.
Besides her parents, of Pittsfield, she leaves four sons, Jason Bregg of Charleston, S.C., Andrew Bregg of the Marine Corps in Fort Bragg, N.C., and Sandar and Damon Bregg, both at home; a daughter, Eniko Bregg of Syracuse, N.Y.; a brother, Stephen Lambert of Lawrence, Kan.; a sister, Catherine Carchedi of Pittsfield; a grandchild, and her companion, Leonard Halpern of Norwood.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Caroline A. Bregg will be today, March 28, 2006, at 11 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Potsdam, N.Y. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Caroline Bregg Scholarship Fund in care of Canton-Potsdam Hospital, 50 Leroy St., Potsdam, NY 13676, or to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, Potsdam, NY 13676.
She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Mary Bregg of North Carolina, and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending her children's sporting events. BUCK FUNERAL HOMES INC. is in charge of arrangements.
