Rose M. Rocca, 92, of 101 Gamwell Ave. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Mountain Mills, Vt., on Jan. 1, 1914, daughter of Bruno and Michalena Matta Pisani, she moved to Pittsfield as a child and attended local schools.
Mrs. Rocca was employed by the Pittsfield Public School System in the cafeteria at Hibbard School for 10 years.
Before that, she worked at Elmvale Worsted Mill for 30 years.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
She leaves her husband, Russell Rocca, whom she married July 4, 1940.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rose M. Rocca, who died Friday, March 24, 2006, will be celebrated tomorrow at 11 at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, pastor.
Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Mrs. Rocca also leaves many nieces and nephews.
