Edna May Theoret, 84, of 112 East Acres Road died Thursday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 26, 1921, daughter of James and Mary Ellen Evans Barraclough, she was a 1939 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Theoret was employed by General Electric Co. as an office worker and financial analyst for 35 years. She retired in November 1981.
She was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs. She enjoyed swimming, playing cards and reading.
Her husband, John Theoret, died June 26, 1986.
She leaves a son, Ronald Burris of North Hampton, N.H., and two sisters, Dorothy Brace and Ethel Robak, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edna May Barraclough Theoret, 84, will be conducted Saturday at noon at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME by Rev. Mary Schreiber, pastor of St. Martin's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. She also leaves three nieces, Sandra VanCourt, Judy Lamont and Patricia Lake; a nephew, James Robak, and other special relatives, Ray & Geralyn Jones and David and Keith Jones. She was predeceased by a sister, Lydia Kelley.
