Christine A. Stafford-Shaw, 69, formerly of Pittsfield, a resident of 787 S.W. 33rd Street, Palm City, Fla. for the past 20 years, died Monday at her home.
Born in Pittsfield, Dec. 24, 1936, daughter of Robert G. and Christine A. Malkowski Stafford, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Ms. Stafford-Shaw had been employed by CVS.
She enjoyed making crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her parents of Pittsfield, she leaves a son, William Higgins, of Rome, N.Y.; two daughters, Donna Bass of Palm City, Fla., and Denise Cravish of Stuart, Fla.; a sister, Beverly C. Sagendorph of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Christine A. Stafford-Shaw, who died March 6, 2006, will be Friday, March 17 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ms. Stafford-Shaw may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. She was pre-deceased by her brother Robert E. Stafford.
