Eleanor M. "Corky" Corrigan Hanlon

Eleanor M. "Corky" Corrigan Hanlon, 91, formerly of 120 Pollock Ave., died Saturday at Timberlyn Heights in Great Barrington, where she had resided for the past year.
Born in Adams on Dec. 18, 1914, daughter of Peter and Johanna Dowd Corrigan, she graduated from Drury High School and received a bachelor's degree from the former North Adams State College in 1936.
Mrs. Hanlon was employed as a teacher in Otis in the 1930s. She moved to Pittsfield in 1953.
Mrs. Hanlon was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She was the wife of Judge F. Anthony Hanlon, whom she married on Aug. 21, 1937. He died in 1981.
She leaves two sons, Terrence M. Hanlon, of Pittsfield, and Timothy P. Hanlon, of Plantsville, Conn.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Eleanor M. "Corky" Hanlon, who died Saturday, March 11, 2006, will be Tuesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. James Joyce, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Elder Services of Berkshire County in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Hanlon also leaves two daughters-in-law, Mary Jane Hanlon and Kathryn Hanlon, along with several nieces and nephews, her Pollock Avenue neighbors, and her dear friends from her bridge group. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Robert Corrigan.
